OBITUARY - 1975
Robert Wood, age 68, of Rt. 5, Chippewa Falls, Town of Lafayette, died Sunday at his home. He was born March 18, 1907, in Elroy, Juneau County, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James L. Wood.
During World War II he was employed by the government in defense work in Rockford, Ill., and in the defense plant in Eau Claire. Mr. Wood was later employed as a carpenter.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mabel Sivertsen, Minneapolis, Minn.; and four brothers, Melvin, Walter, Clarence and Theodore, all of Rt. 5, Chippewa Falls.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, at 2 p.m. at the Hogseth-Pederson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Clavin Thoreson of the English Lutheran of Bateman officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at the Bateman Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral chapel from this afternoon until time of services Wednesday. The casket will remain closed.
