Matias and Ragnhild were sixth cousins.

Matias and Ragnhild operated an extremely large farm. In 1864 the crops were 14 tn. barley, 12 tn. oat and 30 tn. potatoes. In 1871 the crops were 71 tunner. The entire cultivated plot of land near the farmhouse became grain and potato. Hay was on the outer meadows.

Ragnhild gave the farm to her oldest daughter, Aslaug, and her husband.

Ragnhild should have the benefit of the retirement agreement of giving her estate to them: She would take care of the birth and care of 2 cows and 6 sheep, and these fødevarene: 4 hl barley, 4 hl oat, 2 hl halibut or rye, 1 hl malt, 1 hl barley, 1 hl salty, 2 kg hops, 15 kg coffee, 8 kg brown sugar, 2 kg loaf (lump) sugar, 4 hl potatoes and 24 kg pork. In addition she should have 20 alen (old unit of measurement) linen cloth, 3 pairs of shoes and 300 kr in cash for many years. She should have a room on the farm, enough by, and a free horse to go to church and for essential trips. To sommarfødsle and to butcher should she have 1 heifer yearly. If the cattle became to old or become unfit on except vis, have she right to new, useful expensive.

Many teachers from the Landsverk school district lived on the Omnes farm, they had small side room up. Among other things Kari Nordbø from Hjartdal married Torkjel Hovde, and lived on Omnes.

They are listed in the 1865 census for Landsværkskredsen farm, Tjønaas, Sauland, Hjertdal, Telemark, Norway:
