OBITUARY FOR IRA: Ira Henry Hufendick, 44, owner of Hufendick's Sewing Machines and Children's Wear in McMinnville since June, 1950, died here Monday after being in ill health for four years. Funeral services will not be announced until word is received from relatives in the Midwest. Mr. Hufendick was born in Sturgis, S.D., in 1910 and lived there until 1941 hwen he came to Seattle. In Seattle he was engaged in the sewing machine business. He worked for the Singer Company and in 1945 opened his own shop in Seattle. The Hufendicks came to McMinnville in 1950 and went into the sewing machinge and children's wear business at their aker street store. He retailed sewing machines and Mrs. Hufendick was in charge of the children and infant clothing and gift department. Survivors include the widow, Joyce, of McMinnville,and two brothers, Harry, Lead, S.D., and Wallace, Sturgis, S.D. Arrangements are in care of Macy and son.
