OBITUARY FOR CLARENCE:
Clarence M Maasjo, 77, 509 14th Av N.,Fargo, died Thurday, May 8,1997, in his home. Mr Maasjo was born June 2,1919, in Nome, N.D., where he grew up and attended school. From 1939 to 1940 he served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He served in the U.S.Army during World War II. On Aug 13,1945, he married Donna Dow in Moorhead. He worked for the Soil Conservation Service, Fargo, from 1943 until his retirement in 1974.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Calvin (Barb), Pelican Rapids, Minn., Michael (Patty), Rollag, Minn., Gary (Lois), Starbuck, Minn.; two daughters, Kim (Dave) Joyce, Fargo, Debbie Maasjo, Eagan, Minn.; three brothers, Randolph (Edna) and Orvis, both Valley City, Milton (Virginia), Fingal, N.D.; a sister, Edith (James) Brooks, Lawrenceville, Ga.; and eight grandchidren.
Visitation: Today from 4 to 8 in Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo. Funeral: Monday at 10:30 in First Lutheran Church, Fargo. Graveside service: Monday at 2:30 at Cormorant (Minn.) Lutheran Cemetery.
