Gust Hooker personally appeared before the subscriber, the Clerk of the Circuit Court of said County, being a Court of Record, and made oath that he was born in Norway, on or about the year eighteen hundred and sixty six; that he emigrated to the United Statees, and landed at the Port of New York on or about the month of April in the year eighteen hundred and eighty one; that it is bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any Foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Oscar 2nd, King of Norway, whereof he is a subject.

OBITUARY - 1900
Gustav Hooker, 239 Center Street, died yesterday of consumption (29 Mar 1900). The funeral takes place on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mr. Hooker had charge of the bicycle path between this city and Chippewa Falls. (The bike paths disappeared when the automobiles and paved roads took over.)
